Your Local Worker

by neildarby on 29 April, 2011

Use your vote on May 5th to vote for someone who will work hard for YOU – all year round.

Less than a week to go now until you get to choose a local councillor who will represent you for the next four years – make sure that you are voting for the right candidate for you!

As a campaigner in Tulketh I have been working hard week in, week out since taking over from Cllr John Potter in the local area. I have proven in this time that I will do whatever it takes to help the people in our community – from braving the snow last winter to check drivers speeds on some of the most dangerous roads in the area, to delivering our regular ‘Focus’ newsletter to you keeping you up to date in the rain, to speaking to local residents about what truly matters to them in their local area in all weather.

I get results for local residents, and I am proud at what I have already accomplished to help our area improve. I have had numerous instances of fly tipping removed, with offenders caught and fined. I have had dangerous pavements relaid where local residents have complained that it is unsafe. I have had grit bins installed in places where there has been a desperate need for them. I have worked with the County Council Highways team to have many potholes filled in across the ward.

It is easy for candidates in an election to sit back and make idle promises, but I have a great record of following through on my word through my work in Tulketh. I pledge to you now that I will continue to be a presence in Tulketh beyond May 5th, that I will keep working hard to do what needs to be done to improve our neighbourhood, that I will continue to keep you informed – in person as often as possible and by other means where this isn’t practical or possible – with what is being done across Tulketh. Above all, I pledge that I will continue to be there for you once the ballots have been counted and should you have any problems in the community, however great or small, that I will continue to do my utmost to help YOU.

On May 5th you have a choice. Make sure you choose the candidate who works for YOU.
