Neil Darby launches campaign to clear fly-tipping from our streets

Last week local Liberal Democrat campaigner Neil Darby kicked off a drive to clear our local community of fly-tipping and to restore pride in our neighbourhoods.

Talking on the issue, Neil said: “Fly-tipping shows a real lack of respect for area we live in, and it is something that we must work together to combat effectively. Not only is it an eyesore, but piles of rubbish left near houses can be an attraction to rats and other vermin which create a real health hazard to local residents.”

Neil has been tracking and reporting cases of fly-tipping for months with some areas proving to be particularly vulnerable to this problem.

Fly-tipping carries a maximum penalty of £50,000, and notices have already been issued to some offenders who have been caught tipping in Tulketh.

If you notice any fly-tipping in your area, or if you have any information on any fly-tipping, please get in touch with us using the link at the top right of the page or call the number to the right and join our campaign.
